Our main goal with Leitura Type System was to design a very neutral type family that could work on every kind of editorial designs, from magazines to newspapers, without anything that distracts attention from what's most important: the text. I really wanted to achieve a certain kind of invisibility on the typeface, but with a set of features like consistent metrics and interchangeability, that able the designer to navigate though the various weights without wrapping text. The various versions Roman, News, Sans, Headline and Display share some DNA, connecting them, but also making them quite different from each other. Each weight cointains 851 glyphs with SmallCaps, Ligatures, Alternate Characters, CE Characters, Swashes and several other OpenType feature.
