Lucius Maior
The reverse process of type research.
The Lucius type family began as an attempt to reproduce the “Princípios Methodicos para as Letras Aldina e Romana - Typo Portuguez”. The result of the first attempts was bleak, mild, and uninteresting. By mercilessly changing the direction of the design, we decided to move forward with the design of a Sans based on the structure of a Serif. This shift would allow drawing a Serif from a different perspective while maintaining some of the features of the Sans.
