Larga Low

Inspired by the typefaces shown in the specimens of the Fundição Typographica Portuense from 1874, Larga is an interpretation of that sort of extremely wide, monolinear typefaces, extensively used in Portugal at the time. By bringing this particular style into the twenty-first century, we were able not only to create a high contrast version but also to design the perfect sans serif companion for Larga, allowing them to work both as independent, yet related, variable fonts with weight and optical axis.
