OBRA
Historical construction with modern sensibility
Obra draws inspiration from Letra Grifa found in the book "Arte nuevo de escribir por preceptos geométricos, y reglas mathemáticas", the distinctive calligraphic style of 18th-century Spanish calligrapher Juan Aznar de Polanco. Reimagined through a contemporary lens, Obra reinterprets historical construction principles with a fresh, modern sensibility. Featuring soft terminals, elegant fluidity in its curves, and dramatically slanted italics, Obra strikes a balance between classic sophistication and contemporary refinement. It’s a typeface that bridges eras, ideal for designers seeking timeless elegance with a distinctly modern edge.
